Job summary

PruittHealth in Florida’s Tallahassee area is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support patient care on a PRN basis. You will work under licensed therapists to implement treatment plans, document progress, and ensure adherence to state practice acts and facility policies.

Strong communication and documentation skills are essential as you assist with patient care priorities, participate in orientation and trainings, and contribute to a compassionate care team committed

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited program and NBCOT exam eligibility or pass.
• Must comply with state practice acts and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the occupational therapy care plan and treatment to patients as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician according to the State Practice Acts.
• Perform clinical tasks, and communicate and document tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follow established policies and procedures as related to the scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care.
• Complete all required orientation, in-services, and trainings successfully.
• Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.
