Job summary

Green Palms Management in Warren, MI is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. You will work under an occupational therapist to implement evidence-based treatment plans and help clients improve daily living skills and overall quality of life.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and support medication management, nutrition, and health promotion, while maintaining detailed client records.

Qualifications

• NBCOT-certified COTA required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0 years of experience as a COTA; experience with diverse populations and varying disabilities/needs.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients; able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Provide direct care to clients, including therapy sessions and educational training.
• Assist clients with daily living skills, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients with medication management, nutrition, and overall health promotion.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
