Job summary

The Pines at Philadelphia is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement occupational therapy programs and treatments for residents, under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.

This full-time role offers a supportive, team-focused environment with opportunities to contribute to meaningful resident care, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and maintain high standards of service and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program certified by the AOTA; eligible for certification.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure, as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Occupational Therapist.
• Provides OT treatments including activities of daily living and ROM exercises.
• Performs activities of daily living evaluations under the Occupational Therapist's direction.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the Occupational Therapist.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers in OT techniques under supervision of the OTR.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to develop programs for each resident.
• Maintains resident documentation and records for all treated residents.
• Attends resident care and staffing meetings as a representative of OT.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports repair needs as necessary.
• Ensures high quality service in a caring, compassionate atmosphere respecting residents' needs.
