Job summary

Bellway Health and Rehab in Selma, AL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. The COTA will plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

Responsibilities include screening residents, implementing treatment plans, communicating findings to residents and families, and maintaining proper documentation and billing per CMS standards.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• AL OTA licensure.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine best intervention or treatment.
• Perform treatment plans following the established plan of care by supervising therapist.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with other team members.
• Document and bill occupational therapy services per CMS standards.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards daily with point of care documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
