Job summary

Life Enriching Communities seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support residents at Wesley Woods in New Albany, OH. This in-house, not-for-profit team focuses on independence and meaningful daily experiences.

You will document progress, plan and implement therapy activities, assess residents’ abilities, and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver high‑quality care in a warm setting.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Ohio OTA license is required.
  • 1–2 years of related experience preferred; background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

  • Completing and maintaining patient records and documenting progress.
  • Planning, organizing, and conducting occupational therapy progress.
  • Testing and evaluating residents' abilities and setting rehabilitation goals.
  • Planning and implementing activity programs to help residents learn skills and adjust to handicaps.

  • Testing and evaluating residents' physical and mental abilities and analyzing medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for residents
  • Planning and implementing programs and social activities to help patients learn skills and adjust to handicaps
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistance program
  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Ohio
  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
