LTTS in Foster City, CA seeks a cost optimization engineer to guide DFx in early product development. You will drive DFA/DFM analyses, create should-cost models, and set cost targets for mechanical parts and electromechanical assemblies.

You will collaborate with design, engineering and procurement to deliver cost reductions, perform VA/VE activities, read manufacturing drawings, and maintain BOM data and cost reporting for ongoing programs. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or electrical engineering.
• 7–10 years of industry experience.
• Proficient in BDI, A-priori or related costing software.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings.
• Working knowledge of BOM development and application.
• Strong VA/VE techniques and financial awareness.
• Creo proficiency and MS Office skills.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsabilités

• Provide guidance to designers for cost-effective designs.
• Apply DFA/DFM tools to propose improvements.
• Develop cost targets for mechanical and electrical parts.
• Provide should-cost analysis reports for procurement.
