Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to join Supply Chain Business Operations, focusing on cost improvement and unit economics for hardware programs. You will build cost models, track KPIs, and partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing to drive value across programs.

You will influence decisions with data-driven insights, establish should-cost targets, and support CapEx, automation, and outsourcing choices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 1+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, product management, operations, FP&A, consulting, banking, or entrepreneurship.
• 1+ years of experience in Excel or programming.

Responsibilities

• Own Cost Improvement and unit economics for specific hardware programs, including should-cost targets.
• Analyze KPIs such as cost per unit, revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, and capex.
• Establish cost targets and guide cross-functional decisions toward attainment.
• Track and proactively manage profit improvement initiatives.
• Drive cost optimization in product development for existing and future products.
• Evaluate major CapEx decisions, automation, insource vs. outsource, and location.
• Identify initiatives to improve SpaceX's cost trajectory with leadership.
