A national construction cost management firm is seeking Construction Cost Managers at various experience levels. Responsibilities include estimating, quantity take-offs, and client communication. Candidates should have 1-3 years for junior roles, 3-9 years for mid-level, and over 10 years for senior roles, preferably in construction/engineering fields. Remote and hybrid positions are available.
At CCS our Construction Cost Managers produce estimates, facility condition assessments, change order reviews and other forms of cost management services for a variety of projects nationally and internationally.
Projects cover every structure type possible in both the private and public sectors. A large sector of our work comprises federal, state & municipal government work.
Our team is comprised of three levels of expertise: Junior/Entry Level Estimators, Mid-Level and Senior Construction Cost Managers. This offers both a well-rounded amount of experience and growth opportunity within the team, while also ensuring we remain competitive within the marketplace itself.
Together, we work with our clients to provide independent third-party cost analysis and value engineering services, for basic, to the most complex projects, from parametric to 100% design stages. CCS provides valuable tools and expertise to ensure an Owner’s project design and budget goals are exceeded.
Participate as part of the project team on cost management – estimating assignments.
Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Provide pricing, building costs, and manpower rates within various local regions.
Use appropriate published cost indices and databases. Obtain material quotes from vendors.
Review and analyze change orders.
Participate in client meetings, interviews, pre-proposal meetings, and on-going communication (both written, in-person and virtual) during the various phases of design that we are involved in. Ensure that all communication is clearly documented and translated onto project documents to ensure a concise and comprehensive work product is provided to our clients and end users.
Meet Client deadlines and expectations. Review client comments and make necessary changes within a specific timeframe. Make Client aware of additional services to projects when expectations appear to go beyond the original scope of services or opportunity to assist in further development of a project may appear.
Bachelors’ Degree in a construction/engineering related field is a big plus
Any DOT, Airport, Lt Rail, or Hospital construction estimating experience is also a plus
Knowledge of commonly used cost estimating concepts, practices, and procedures within the architectural, structural and civil disciplines.
Knowledgeable in pricing, building costs and manpower rates within local regions.
Salary & Incentive Package Commensurate with Experience
