Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Product Cost Excellence professional to lead cost optimization initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, and Quality to surface opportunities and drive cost reduction through the OLT process.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and strong executive-level communication. Hybrid schedule in Portland, with a focus on delivering measurable cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of experience or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering or technical teams.
• Strong communication, including executive-level presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at varying maturity levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage initiatives through the unified OLT process and create project timelines.
• Coordinate vehicle walkaround activities to surface cost and complexity opportunities.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and design reviews with Engineering, Purchasing, ME, Finance, and Quality.
• Maintain governance, ownership, and status visibility for initiatives and OLT readiness.
