Job summary

Stadler US is seeking a Cost Engineering Intern to join our Corporate Development group in Salt Lake City. You will work across engineering, procurement, and production to identify cost savings and build cost models from material, process, tooling, and logistics.

The role offers exposure to senior and executive management and collaboration with Swiss headquarters and international sites. The internship requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable field, strong

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and confident in Excel.
• Exposure to CAD or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Willing to adapt to new situations and challenges.
• Self-starting, curious and ready to take ownership.
• Available for a minimum of three months, on site in Salt Lake City, full time preferred, part time considered.

Responsibilities

• Analyze parts and assemblies for cost drivers and build cost models.
• Support supplier sourcing, qualification and negotiations in North America.
• Contribute to cost reduction and localization decisions with cross-functional teams.
• Engage in design-to-cost and manufacturing method discussions with engineers.
• Collaborate with Corporate Development on strategic projects and executive-level reviews.
