Job summary

Techno Consult Engineering, PC in Baltimore is seeking a Cost Engineer to support construction project billing, review invoices, and ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts and schedules of values. The role involves coordinating with project teams, contractors, and finance to resolve discrepancies and maintain detailed billing records.

The ideal candidate has extensive billing experience in large infrastructure projects, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with PMIS/SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in construction billing, invoice review, project controls, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, billing procedures, and payment processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with project management/document control systems such as PMIS, SharePoint, or similar platforms preferred.
• Experience with large-scale transportation, infrastructure, or public-sector construction projects is a plus.

Compensation

The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $42-$48/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
