Job summary

Proteinea is seeking a proactive Cost Control Engineer to support the financial performance of construction and infrastructure projects. You will monitor costs, prepare dashboards, and analyze variances to maintain cost efficiency on site teams.

The ideal candidate has an engineering background, 3–5 years in project controls, strong Excel and ERP experience, and familiarity with FIDIC contracts and Earned Value Management to guide forecasts and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 1–2 years of cost control experience in construction or infra projects.
• 3–5 years total engineering/project controls experience.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros).
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Fusion).
• Ability to create dashboards and visual reports (Power BI).
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts (Variations, EOTs, Sub-Clause 13.8).
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (CPI, SPI, EV vs AC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost reports, dashboards, and variance analysis.
• Track and report on project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
• Support monthly reporting, cost trending, and cash flow forecasting.
• Analyze deviations from budget and recommend corrective actions.

• Support audits, internal reviews, and project closeout cost reporting.
• Prepare clear and concise cost reports and presentations for management.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in earned value management, and the ability to interpret complex contract clauses such as those under FIDIC. The role requires a mix of technical expertise, cost forecasting, and coordination with engineering and site teams to maintain cost efficiency and project control.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost reports, dashboards, and variance analysis.
• Track and report on project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros).
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Fusion.
• Ability to create dashboards and visual reports using Power BI or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts, including Variations, EOTs, and Sub-Clause 13.8.
• Practical knowledge of Earned Value Management (CPI, SPI, EV vs AC).
