Job summary

Clayton is a leading single-family, values-driven home builder dedicated to attainable housing and sustainable practices. The Lead Cost Analyst will conduct cost analysis, develop cost estimates, and work with plant management to resolve production and inventory issues.

This full-time role in the Costing department requires a four-year degree and 3–5 years costing experience in manufacturing. Proficiency with MS Office and Oracle ERP is preferred, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in business related field required.
• Three to five years of costing experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Excellent mathematical skills required.
• Great attention to detail and analytical skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Oracle, ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts market research to recommend changes to pricing or business models.
• Prepares periodic cost reconciliation reports, tracking data such as changing labor and supply costs.
• Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials for each model and each option produced in the plant.
• Participate in Oracle ERP implementation initiatives.
• Attend meetings and communicate issues related to costs, margins, and inventory.
