Job summary

WSP is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our Project Controls team. The role can be based in St. Louis, MO; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Minneapolis, MN; or Charlotte, NC. You will support cost control, budgeting, and change management for diverse projects.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in Project Controls or related fields, with Power & Energy industry experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent.
5-7 years in Project Controls, Financial Controls, Finance or Accounting with team leadership.
Power & Energy industry experience required.
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Confident self-starter in a dynamic environment.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent communication with team members, contractors and clients.

Responsibilities

Support Project Manager and Cost Control Manager in cost control, budgeting and change management.
Develop and maintain project budgets, cash flows, and expenditure tracking.
Monitor costs against budgets and flag variances for review.
Track cost changes and provide input for recommendations.
Prepare cost estimates, forecasts and funding requests.
Maintain financial models and tracking tools for cost allocations.
Generate cost reports, dashboards for PMO review.
Assist in review of invoices and payment tracking.
Provide documentation for project accounting, including accruals.
