Job summary

Consulting Solutions is seeking a Project Controls Specialist II to support project teams by managing controls activities including scheduling, estimating, cost control, change management, reporting, and analytics. Hybrid, Raleigh, NC area, three in-office days per week (Tue/Thu).

Relocation not considered. Responsibilities include developing schedules with Primavera P6, reporting, earned value analysis, and WBS development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Direct experience in a Project Controls environment.
• Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of scheduling, estimating, cost management, and change control.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Generate recurring project controls reports and analytics by validating data and distributing metrics.
• Monitor project performance through schedule, cost, and change analysis.
• Track scope, schedule, and budget changes while administering change control.
• Prepare and maintain project cost estimates with estimators.
• Support PMs with WBS development, scheduling, estimating, cash flow reporting, EVM, variance and critical path analysis.
• Produce project controls documentation and reporting per standards.
• Lead benchmarking and process-improvement initiatives in project controls.

Job description

We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist II (PCS-II) to support project teams by managing project controls activities including scheduling, estimating, cost control, change management, reporting, and project analytics. This role partners closely with Project Managers and supports one to two projects of varying size and complexity while ensuring project controls processes are executed in accordance with established standards and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have strong Primavera P6 scheduling experience, advanced Excel skills, and a solid background in project controls. Candidates with direct project controls experience will be given preference.

Schedule & Location

Full-time, Hybrid

• Three days per week in the office (Tuesday and Thursday required)
• Candidates must currently reside in the Raleigh, NC area
• Relocation candidates will not be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Utility, engineering, construction, or infrastructure project experience.

• Strong understanding of project controls methodologies and industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement best practices.
