Job summary

Hyundai Mobis is seeking a Cost Accounting Specialist in Alabama to manage full-cycle accounting duties, assist with month-end close, and support budgeting and planning activities. The role requires knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office and SAP.

The ideal candidate will participate in manufacturing costing, intercompany reconciliations, and external audits while maintaining accuracy in inventory valuations and cost reports.

Overview

TheCost AccountingSpecialistis responsible forfull-cycle accounting duties, investment analysis,OPEXbudget management, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Assistwith month-end closeand financial reports
• Manage andassistbudgetsfor all departments
• Assistmanagers with yearly/long-term business planning
• Monitor intercompany transactions and perform reconciliation as needed
• HandleWarranty Allowance
• Prepare quarterly inventory valuation
• Assistexternalauditors with quarterly and annual audits by providing requested information
• Product Life Cycle profitability management for new models
• Prompt, regular, predictable attendance
• Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours
• Overtime and weekend work asrequired
• Required to work with, handle, store, or otherwise manage hazardous materials, and mustcomply withall applicable regulationsestablishedby the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
• Responsibilities include ensuring safe and compliant management of hazardous materialsin accordance withstate and federal regulatory requirements.
• May berequiredtoparticipatein training for handling of hazardous materials.
• All other job duties as assigned

This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and elevate matters as required

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
• Ability toorganize and tomanage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to research, evaluate, and resolve problems
• Goodwritten and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Preferred Education & Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in Finance or Accounting field
• Manufacturing costing experience
• SAP experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
