Job summary

Smith & Loveless is seeking a Cost Accounting & Coordinating Manager to partner with the financial services team and oversee all cost accounting functions for production, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis. The role involves improving processes, maintaining controls, and supporting data-driven decisions across Accounting, Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations.

Qualifications

BS/BA in accounting or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum 3 years accounting and/or manufacturing cost accounting experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise collection, recording, analysis, and reporting of cost data for production.
Review costings of current and completed jobs for accuracy.
Analyze inventory, costing, and variances for monthly financial reporting.
Maintain standard costs and cost improvements; support year-end inventory and job costing.
Lead and develop cost accounting staff and cross-functional teams on projects.
