Job summary

Cala Health, Inc. is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to anchor our manufacturing and supply chain finance.

You will own inventory accounting, COGS, standard costing, and margin analysis, partnering with Operations and R&D to drive cost efficiency. Based in hybrid work environment (3 days on-site), you’ll optimize the ERP, strengthen internal controls including SOX, and lead month-end close for inventory and related reporting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years explicitly focused on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP, inventory valuation methods, and standard costing principles.
• Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with top-tier ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close for inventory and COGS, including journal entries, reconciliations, and executive reporting.
• Manage annual standard cost roll-ups, ERP updates, and monthly manufacturing variance analysis to drive operational insights.
• Calculate and maintain inventory reserves and supply chain accruals.
• Oversee inventory counts and audits, design SOX controls, and support auditors.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and R&D on margins, cost reductions, and NPI cost/BOM modeling.
• Act as inventory module SME and collaborate with IT to optimize ERP workflows.
