Position Overview
This is a hybrid position with 2 days of remote work per week. The role is located at Cincinnati Children’s South Campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Medicare and Medicaid Reimbursement – Overall accountability for the preparation and filing of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports; establish internal controls for accuracy and completeness; implement and maintain processes for responding to auditors and managing audits by regulatory agencies.
- 340b Registration and Compliance – Partner with the AVP of Pharmacy to support compliance requirements of the 340b drug discount program, manage child site eligibility and annual registration with HRSA, and assist in auditor responses.
- Cost Accounting System Management – Maintain the cost accounting system for the Medical Center with the information services team; ensure complete and accurate costing data and internal controls for valid reporting; assist in analytics of clinical operations costing for new initiatives.
- Policies & Practices – Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures that guide and support departmental operations and services; interact with business and operational leaders to identify upcoming operational changes.
- Financial Management – Overall accountability for department financial functions; develop and manage annual and capital budgets, establish internal cash management controls, maintain financial controls and external audit processes, manage accounts receivable, analyze financial performance, evaluate variances, establish productivity metrics, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Performance Management – Direct staffing and retention strategy, including hiring, workforce planning, succession planning, and retention; partner with HR to create recruitment packages, onboarding programs, and performance management of direct reports; mentor and develop faculty and leaders; meet talent management goals and ensure adherence to HR and legal policies.
- Compliance – Sustain an understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; evaluate compliance, identify best practices and deficiencies, develop corrective action plans, ensure readiness plans are current, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration on compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
- Preferred: 7+ years preparing Medicare/Medicaid cost reports.
Compensation
Annualized pay may vary based on FTE status: $112,590.40 - $146,369.60.
