Job summary

Ultipro in Texas is seeking a Cost Accountant to support the Corporate Controller with internal cost reporting and analysis. The role focuses on classifying and allocating expenditures to determine product/service costs, profitability, and cost per unit, partnering with Plant Operations to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, up to 2 years of accounting experience, and strong Excel/GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge and cost systems background.
• Experience with cost standards and manufacturing data.
• Strong analytical, numeric, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting and forecasting with plant personnel.
• Financial statement analysis and variance reporting to Plant Ops.
• Develop metrics to improve cost efficiency (materials, labor, overhead).
• Inventory accuracy and reconciliation with Plant Operations.
• Assist with capital requests and project cost tracking.
• Support SOX controls and internal audits.
