Job summary

Amerequip Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking a cost accounting professional to partner with operations teams on metrics and ad hoc reporting, and to develop standard cost models. You will analyze COGS, labor, materials and overhead, validate costing after design changes, and explain monthly variances to management.

Responsibilities also include forecasting and budgeting for materials and direct labor costs, and supporting journal entries and cost accounting close activities.

• Day-to-day partnering with operations teams, including project support, development of metrics and ad hoc reporting.
• Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), labor, raw materials, and overhead costs to develop standard cost models. Validate costing after product design changes.
• Identify and explain monthly manufacturing variances to management. Develop and maintain weekly scorecards to drive performance improvement.
• Assist and own various forecasting and annual budgeting processes for material and direct labor costs
• Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and cost accounting close activities.
• Assists with various ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
