Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, seeks a Cost Accountant to support the Energy & Communications business from the Atlanta office. You will own product costing, BOM integrity, and standard costing, partnering with operations and engineering to evaluate design and process changes and drive cost visibility.

The role requires 3+ years in cost accounting in manufacturing, SAP experience, advanced Excel, and the ability to analyze variances and improve controls across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience.
• Experience with standard costing, BOMs, inventory accounting, and variances.
• Experience across multiple plants or locations in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with SAP ERP; SQL/MS Query/VBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own product costing and BOM integrity across multiple sites.
• Maintain moving average cost methodology for inventory valuation.
• Establish standard labor and overhead rates with plant leadership.
• Analyze manufacturing variances; identify root causes and improvements.
• Support inventory management and internal controls, including cycle counts.
• Ensure cost transactions are accurate and timely with operations.
• Participate in monthly/quarterly/annual close and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze cost and profitability reports; ad-hoc analyses.
• Drive continuous improvement in cost accounting processes and data standardization.
