Senior Cost Accountant in Summersville, WV

Metalcraft MER, Inc. is accepting resumes for a Senior Cost Accountant. This is a full -time position that offers the opportunity to play an integral role in a growing company near several wonderful outdoor recreational areas including the Monongahela National Forest, Summersville Lake, and the new Summersville Lake State Park. Starting salary ranges from $65k to $80k, depending on education and experience.

Metalcraft MER, Inc. is a remanufacturing and custom fabrication business.

The position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Ensuring financial transactions are recorded and classified properly
• Producing financial statements
• Preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial information to aid decision-making
• Ensuring internal controls are adhered to
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Qualified applicants will have:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5 years of experience in the private sector. CPA certificate a plus.

A thorough understanding of and ability to execute all accounting functions integral to:
• Recording and classifying financial transactions properly
• Capturing and summarizing data to produce financial statements
• Preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial information to aid decision-making
• Setting up and maintaining internal controls
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Must have a working knowledge of cost accounting
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
