Job summary

Aegis Worldwide in Indianapolis is seeking a Costing/Financial Analyst to support costing, budgeting, and financial analysis processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, validate, and analyze data for accurate reporting and decision-making.

The role focuses on identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, supporting system enhancements, and delivering reports and models to help leaders evaluate performance and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Operations, or related field.
• Experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or related field.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data modeling.
• Ability to gather, organize, validate, reconcile data from multiple sources.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.

Job description

• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of costing, budgeting, and financial analysis processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, validate, and analyze operational and financial data to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
• Analyze costs, financial performance, operational metrics, variances, and other key business drivers to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support business systems, financial systems, and data-related activities, including data validation, testing, troubleshooting, process improvements, and system enhancements.
• Prepare reports, financial models, analyses, presentations, and supporting documentation to help leaders evaluate business performance and make informed decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce inefficiencies, strengthen controls, and improve the accuracy and reliability of financial and operational information.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing processes, identifying areas of waste or inefficiency, and helping develop and implement practical solutions.
• Work collaboratively across departments and functions to support organizational goals and ensure alignment between financial and operational activities.
• Demonstrate accountability, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning while contributing to a collaborative, respectful, and results-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Advanced degree or relevant professional experience may be considered in place of some educational requirements.
• Experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, operational analysis, business analysis, or a related field.
• Experience working with financial, operational, or enterprise business systems and the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
• Ability to gather, organize, validate, reconcile, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational information and translate findings into meaningful business insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and teams across different functions and levels of an organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, take ownership of responsibilities, receive and apply feedback, and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, process improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches is preferred.
