Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) seeks a licensed Cosmetologist to join our campus salon team. You will perform haircuts, color, makeup, waxing, and basic manicure/pedicure services while educating clients and recommending products to maintain results.

You will work in a friendly, motivated team with a focus on excellent customer service and client care, ensuring safety and professionalism on a beautiful university campus.

Qualifications

• Current Cosmetology/Barber License from the State of Utah.
• Strong public relations and customer service skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality.
• Ability to work flexible hours and as needed.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of current beauty trends and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform haircuts, color, highlights, styling, and other hair services to meet clients’ needs.
• Provide makeup services and basic manicure/pedicure treatments.
• Apply gel polish and provide waxing services as needed.
• Educate clients on the care of their hair, skin, and nails, and recommend salon products to maintain results.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
• Foster positive relationships with clients by delivering excellent customer service.
• Maintain professionalism and cooperation with coworkers and clients.
