Job summary

La Colonia Wellness Center North Miami is seeking a licensed Cosmetologist to enhance patients' wellbeing through hair and nail care, color, styling, and grooming. The role emphasizes sanitary standards and excellent patient interaction in a welcoming spa environment.

Responsibilities include planning services with the Wellness Center Supervisor, performing shampoo, color, cut, nail care, and recommending styles based on client needs. Fluent English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Cosmetology license required.
• At least six months of related experience.
• Ability to lift, bend, twist, and stand for long periods.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Wellness Center Supervisor in planning and scheduling services.
• Shampoo, condition and color hair using applicator or brush.
• Cut, trim and style hair according to patients’ instructions.
• Recommend style and services based on patients’ needs and style.
• Follow safety and cleanliness standards; keep equipment sanitized and treatment areas clean.
• Clean, cut, shape and paint nails.
• Recommend nail colors and shapes based on patient’s style.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
