Job summary

Lima Care Community in Lima, Ohio, seeks a licensed cosmetologist to provide hair care and beauty services to residents within our skilled nursing facility. This opportunity is designed for an independent contractor who will operate their own business, set appointments, and collect payment directly from residents or their responsible parties.

Responsibilities include haircuts, shampoo and styling, perms/color as appropriate, beard grooming, and maintaining a clean, safe salon.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio Cosmetology License.
• Experience with seniors/healthcare populations preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage scheduling.
• Knowledge of infection control and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional cosmetology services to residents (haircuts, shampoo/style, perms/color as appropriate, beard grooming).
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary salon/work area per health and licensing requirements.
• Coordinate appointments with residents, families, and facility staff as needed.
• Demonstrate compassion, patience, and professionalism with elderly residents and those with limitations.

Lima Care Community is seeking a licensed Cosmetologist to provide hair care and beauty services to residents within our skilled nursing facility. Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional cosmetology services to residents, including:
  • Haircuts
  • Shampoo and styling
  • Perms and color services (if appropriate)
  • Beard trimming and grooming
  • Other licensed cosmetology services as permitted by state regulations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary salon/work area in accordance with all applicable health, safety, and licensing requirements.
• Coordinate appointments directly with residents, families, and facility staff as needed.
• Demonstrate compassion, patience, and professionalism when working with elderly residents and individuals with physical or cognitive limitations.
• Maintain all required professional licenses and certifications.
• Supply personal equipment, tools, and products necessary to perform services.

Qualifications

• Current Cosmetology License in the State of Ohio.
