Job summary

Actalent in Lithonia, GA is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support cosmetic personal care products. You will test raw materials and finished goods, perform in-process inspections, and maintain calibration and quality records.

This contract role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in QC or lab testing, with wet chemistry experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required; GMP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on quality control or laboratory testing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience performing wet chemistry testing personally, and documenting the results.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC testing on raw materials and finished products, including pH, viscosity, specific gravity, % solids, microbiological and fill weight determination.
• Perform in-process and final finished product inspections daily, and ensure all required quality checks are completed each production shift.
• Perform first article checks on scale-up and production batches and document the results.
• Support the release of compound batches under the direction of the Lead, Quality Assurance.
• Print batch tickets and enter batch records in Formulator.
• Complete and maintain all retains and deviations/rejections documentation.
