Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a Cosmetic Product Coordinator to support development, management, and promotion of medical-grade skincare within the dermatology clinic. The role ensures alignment with clinical standards and regulatory requirements while enhancing patient and retail experiences.

The coordinator will manage product selection, inventory, launches, and staff training, collaborating with dermatologists and vendors to assess efficacy and safety, and ensuring accurate records

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years experience in cosmetic/medical dermatology office preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Cosmetics sales experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong mathematical skills for inventory and pricing.
  • Knowledge of dermatology terms.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow provider instructions.
  • Experience assisting cosmetics customers or patients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate selection, ordering, and inventory of cosmetic/skincare products in the clinic.
  • Collaborate with dermatologists, staff, and vendors to evaluate product efficacy and safety.
  • Ensure regulatory labeling and ingredient transparency.
  • Maintain product records including formulations and supplier information.
  • Assist product launches, promotions, and in-clinic merchandising.
  • Train staff on product knowledge and selling points for patient education and sales.
  • Monitor product performance, patient feedback, and sales trends.
  • Support marketing campaigns, educational materials, and events.
  • Manage product samples and assist patient consultations with recommendations.

Position Summary

The Cosmetic Product Coordinator supports the development, management, and promotion of medical‑grade skincare and cosmetic products within a dermatology clinic. This role ensures all products align with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and the clinic’s brand, while contributing to a seamless patient and retail experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the selection, ordering, and inventory management of cosmetic and skincare products used and sold in the clinic.
  • Collaborate with dermatologists, medical staff, and vendors to evaluate product efficacy, safety, and suitability for patients.
  • Ensure all products meet regulatory and labeling requirements, including ingredient transparency and compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate product records, including formulations, usage guidelines, and supplier information.
  • Assist in the development and execution of product launches, promotions, and in‑clinic merchandising displays.
  • Train staff on product knowledge, usage, and key selling points to support patient education and retail sales.
  • Monitor product performance, patient feedback, and sales trends to inform future product decisions.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to support campaigns, educational materials, and promotional events.
  • Manage product samples and support patient consultations with appropriate recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a cosmetic and/or medical dermatology office.
  • Experience working on electronic medical records.
  • Cosmetics sales experience is a plus.
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quality mathematics skills.
  • Knowledge of medical and cosmetic dermatology terms.
  • Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients and co‑workers alike.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
  • Prior experience assisting cosmetics customers and/or patients with services or products.

Physical Requirements

Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
