Job summary

Cosmetix West Inc. is seeking a Compounder for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) to weigh, mix, and prepare personal care and cosmetic products following master batch records and SOPs.

You will work with fragrances, colors, and various ingredients, operating mixers and related equipment, while ensuring GMP, GDP, and safety standards in a manufacturing environment. Prior compounding experience is preferred and physical ability to lift as required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in compounding, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and follow formulas, batch records, and SOPs in English.
• Basic math skills and ability to use scales and measuring tools accurately.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to recommended weight with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow master batch records and formulas for personal care products.
• Weigh and measure raw materials using calibrated scales.
• Charge raw materials into mixing tanks in correct sequence and conditions.
• Operate mixers, homogenizers, emulsifiers, heating/cooling systems, and transfer pumps.
• Monitor and record critical parameters (temperature, mixing speed, time, pH, viscosity).
• Perform in-process checks (appearance, odor, pH, basic viscosity checks as trained).
• Ensure batches meet specifications before releasing to filling/packaging.
• Label all in-process and finished bulk with product name, batch number, and status.
