Job summary

Bloomingdale's Cosmetic's floor is the heart of the store, where Beauty Advisors provide expert service and sell the full assortment both in-store and online. The Beauty Advisor builds client relationships through makeup applications, skincare consultations, and up-to-date trend advice while delivering excellent product knowledge.

This role requires a High School Diploma and cosmetics sales experience, with a welcoming, friendly approach and flexibility to work peak retail hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous selling experience is required, preferably in cosmetics.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

The Bloomingdale's Cosmetic Beauty Advisors are experts capable of providing excellent service and selling totality of our assortment both in store and on-line. A Beauty Advisor's primary focus is to build and maintain client relationships by offering outstanding service and product knowledge, while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The Beauty Advisor provides make-up application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments; offering expert and up-to-the-minutes trend advice. The Beauty Advisor is welcoming, friendly, and engaged; keeping excitement alive on the sales floor and always putting the needs of the customer first.

Essential Functions:

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
• Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
