Job summary

Actalent in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a QC Analytical Chemist to sample, test, document and release incoming raw materials used in cosmetic and personal care product manufacturing. The role requires performing physical, chemical, and analytical testing to meet specifications and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in a QC laboratory, preferably cosmetics or regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with raw material testing and release activities is preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP, GLP and data integrity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to HSE, GLP, cGMP and SOP requirements.
• Perform sampling and inspection of incoming raw materials.
• Conduct physical and analytical testing (pH, viscosity, SG, etc.).
• Evaluate test results and determine material disposition.
• Maintain laboratory records and calibrate instruments.
• Investigate OOS results and assist corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Warehouse and Supply Chain.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality systems.
