Job summary

DriveTime Family of Brands is seeking an Automotive Body Repair Technician to perform cosmetic dent repairs and paintless dent removal. You will access vehicle bodies, remove trim, and complete minor repairs for dents and hail damage while ensuring repairs meet quality standards.

Work closely with Reconditioning Center Management to determine repair viability based on cost and vehicle quality, aiming for first-time repair success and a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate or Associates degree in automotive technology or work experience equivalent (2+ years) preferred.
• Must have automotive repair experience and ability to meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform cosmetic dent repairs using trained techniques and various tools.
• Carry out paintless dent removal and review work with supervisor.
• Remove trim to access body areas and perform minor repairs for dents and hail damage.
• Collaborate with Reconditioning Center Management to approve repairs based on cost and quality.
• Identify efficient repair methods to minimize rework and delays, and maintain a safe workspace.

Regardless of where you’re located, if you’ve got DRIVE and you’re looking to make an impact, we’d love for you to make a difference with us!That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?Responsibilities of the Job (Or Better Known as, Your Next Destination)Responsible for a variety of tasks including cosmetic dent repairs by using trained techniques and various tools on small to midsized dents.Complete paintless dent removal/cosmetic repairs as necessary and review all completed work with lead/supervisor.Removing trim to gain access to a vehicle’s body and fenders.Minor repairs such as small dents and light hail damage.Working with Reconditioning Center Management to repair or reject inventory based on estimated cost of repairs and/or the overall quality of the vehicle.Identifying and completing repairs effectively the first time, to minimize re-work and delays in production.Work in ways that decrease the possibility of injury to yourself or other team members in the shop due to spills or other preventable hazardous conditions.Promoting teamwork and collaboration within the Reconditioning Center.Adhere to DriveTime guidelines, policies and practices and acting ethically and with integrity at all times and with all employees.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (The Good Stuff)Must be proficient in automotive repairs.Must be able to trouble shoot basic automotive concerns.Must be able to communicate the causes and recommended corrections for vehicle issue.Must be able to meet metric performance targets.Must be able to learn and operate basic computer systems.Must be organized and punctual.Must maintain a safe and compliant work space.Must be able to learn and comply with all DriveTime standards.Requirements (a.k.a.
