Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Open Pit Maintenance Planner for Cortez operations in Nevada. This role focuses on planning and scheduling maintenance, maintaining backlog accuracy, and coordinating with maintenance, operations, purchasing, and vendors to ensure reliable equipment availability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a mobile equipment mechanic with maintenance planning experience, knowledge of Xeras/Discovery, and experience with Oracle eAM CMMS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mobile equipment mechanic experience preferred.
• Maintenance planning experience; Xeras and Discovery knowledge preferred.
• 2 years of Oracle eAM CMMS or equipment experience preferred.
• 3 years of mobile maintenance planning experience preferred.
• Proven equipment care and custody leadership required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance systems preferred.
• Sound understanding of maintenance safety and environmental requirements preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Excellent planning, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills preferred.

• Perform all vital tasks to plan and schedule maintenance work.
• Maintain an accurate backlog and interact/connect with supervisors and other planners in achieving set goals.
• Generate PMs.
• Develop task and material lists, building activities and review stock level requirements.
• Develop cost and equipment reports.
• Resolve source for labor and materials.
• Communicate/coordinate with all levels of maintenance, operations, purchasing and warehouse staff, and outside vendors.

• Sound understanding of maintenance safety and environmental requirements preferred
• Ability to deliver clear and concise information required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Excellent planning, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills preferred
