Job summary

New-Indy Containerboard in Hickory, NC is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate designated manufacturing equipment on the first shift. You will run materials through machines per specifications, monitor output, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include inspecting products, maintaining clean work areas, accurately logging inventory, and following detailed instructions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Machine Operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to read tape measure, blueprints, production schematics.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and be team-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Special projects as business dictates.

SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for all set up and operation of machines in designated department. Operators may work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
