Job summary

Pratt Industries in Cedar Hill, TX seeks a reliable press department operator to support the corrugated production line. You will assist with setup, operation, cleanup, and training of helpers while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and preferred six months’ experience in the Press Department and Finishing Department. Benefits include competitive plans and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior corrugated industry experience preferred.
  • Six months’ experience as a Press Department First Helper.
  • Six months’ experience in the Press and Finishing Department.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor quality of printed boxes (loose liner, warp, size).
  • Check anilox rolls for damage.
  • Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
  • Train and assist First and Second Helpers with machine duties.
  • Cross-train on other machines.
  • Complete reports (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Quality Data).
  • Submit maintenance work orders and support proactive equipment maintenance.
  • Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
