Qualifications

• Five years of experience in repair/servicing refrigeration or air conditioning systems.
• Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the refrigeration or air conditioning mechanic trade.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with one year of journey level work.

Responsibilities

• Training Delivery: Provide classroom and worksite instruction on refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Crew Oversight: Direct inmate work crews and review completed assignments.
• Documentation Management: Maintain records of training progress, attendance, schedules, and work results.
• Tool Control: Issue, track, and account for all tools and materials used during training and work assignments.
• Resource Planning: Determine needed materials and submit purchase requests for refrigeration work tasks.
