Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky's Luther Luckett Correctional Complex seeks a Corrections Recreation Leader to plan, organize, and supervise recreational activities for inmates. The position is based at Luther Luckett in La Grange, KY, within the Department of Corrections.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree, demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, and be able to manage time efficiently while applying creativity and attention to detail in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in planned recreation or related activities may substitute for the required education.
• Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of all recreational areas
• Directing leagues, tournaments, and holiday events for all inmate populations
• Maintain records and inventories of recreational equipment
• Ensure security of all recreational areas in an adult correctional setting
• Maintain records and reports for recreational areas
• Instruct inmate recreational staff
