Responsibilities

• Establish patient medical profiles with diagnosis, allergies, and history.
• Assess prescription completeness and legality.
• Enter prescription information into patient profiles.
• Calibrate equipment for preparation.
• Compound medications per prescription instructions.
• Measure finished dosage forms for dispensing.
• Record preparation of medication.
• Record preparation of controlled substances.
• Package medications and labels.
• Perform intermediate checks during processing.
