Qualifications

• Current, valid California pharmacist license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Pharmacist.
• Provide PSV from the licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications (e.g., BLS, TB test) and compliance documents.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Dispense prescribed medications per state and federal regulations.
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects and interactions.
• Monitor therapy and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize care.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and staff as needed.
• Manage medication inventory and controlled substances.

• Full Time Schedules
• Some weekends may be required
• 8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility
• Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)

Pharmacist Duties & Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Monitor medication therapy and recommend adjustments when appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed.
• Manage medication inventory, storage, and controlled substances.
• Promote patient safety through medication management and clinical interventions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Pharmacist.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
