Alternate Education And Experience
Corrections Officer 8 requires two years of full-time corrections officer experience in another correctional setting and satisfactory current/employment status, or successful completion of basic training in the uniformed services. An Education Waiver program may allow up to 24 months to obtain required college credits; completion of the education requirement is mandatory for eligibility for reclassification to the Corrections Officer E9.
