  • Ability to pass a physical and drug screen.
  • Certification through Tennessee Corrections Institute.
  • Annual in-service training (40 hours) required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intake activities including fingerprinting, photographing and logging personal items.
  • Enter identification information and run searches in law enforcement databases.
  • Carefully monitor and log inmate activity; conduct safety checks and respond to emergencies.
  • Transport inmates to court, medical appointments or other facilities as needed.
  • Distribute meals and medications, monitor health and well-being, and maintain custody at all times.
  • Operate facility access controls and monitor surveillance equipment.
