Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• All employees must attend Basic Training classes.
• Ability to complete Defensive Tactics and First Aid/CPR during Basic Training.

Responsibilities

• Maintains security in buildings/towers and intervenes during emergencies.
• Supervises movement of offenders, conducts counts, and searches for contraband.
• Supervises offenders in housing units, during work activities, and recreational time.
• Conducts inspections for health and safety hazards and reports violations.
• Supervises visits and conducts searches of visitors, offenders, buildings, and grounds.
• Follows post orders and directions; performs other related work as assigned.
