Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana seeks energetic, self-motivated professionals to join its expanding team in Mansfield. As a Corrections Officer, you would monitor residents and ensure compliance with program rules within the Women’s Residential Reentry Program.

As a Corrections Officer, you would be directly responsible for monitoring the activities of residents and ensuring their compliance with program rules and conditions for our Mansfield's Women's Residential Reentry Program. Corrections Officer will ensure the safe custody and accountability of all residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility. Successful candidates must be able to handle an ever-changing environment and demonstrate flexibility, strength in character, and consistently deliver a willingness to help in any way possible. We are hiring full-time and/or part-time professionals. Please note, Full-time Corrections Officer will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits packageincluding company-paid life insurance and LTD, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and a 403b with a match.

Preferred applicants will havea High School diploma or GED, or an Associate’s Degree. Preferred applicants will have one year of experience in the criminal Justice, human service, or social work field. All applicants must demonstrate professionalism while demonstrating compassion and commitment to our mission and purpose. Valid Drivers license is a requirement of this position.

Shift schedules:

• 1st Shift – 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• 2nd Shift – 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• 3rd Shift – 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Years of Service Awards will be awarded at the following milestones:

• 6 Months of Service - $250
• 1 Year of Service - $500
• 5, 15, 25 Years of Service - $1000
• At 10, 20, 30 Years of Service, full time employees are offered a 1-month sabbatical
• At 10, 20, 30 Years of Service, part time employees are offered $1000

Part time permanent employees are eligible for the bonus award payout at indicated service intervals; part time permanent employees are not eligible for sabbaticals.

Full time permanent employees are eligible for the bonus award payout at 6 months, 1 year, 5, 15, and 25-year service intervals as well as 1 sabbatical offering per 10-year interval.

Preferred applicants will havea High School diploma or GED, or an Associate’s Degree with one year of direct residential experience is preferred.
