Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or equivalent (12 years education) or related work experience.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to pass a required training program within a one-year probationary period.
• Citizen of the United States per Alaska Administrative Code (AAC) 13 AAC 85.210 (a) (1).
• Must be 19 years of age or older at the time of hire per AAC 13 AAC 85.215 (a) (2).
• Ability to pass a thorough personal-history investigation.
• Valid Driver’s License meeting Borough criteria.

Aufgaben

• Provide custody, care, security, and discipline of prisoners.
• Maintain facility order and supervise prisoners; conduct counts.
• Oversee prisoner meals, medications, hygiene, and appointments.
• Arrange prisoner transport and document movements.
• Inspect facility for contraband, sanitation and orderliness.
• Supervise prisoner visits and maintain activity records.
