Qualifications

• Must pass Basic Training including English reading comprehension and exams.
• Physically able to perform Defensive Tactics duties.
• Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Background checks and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security by enforcing DOC policies and post orders.
• Monitor facility and control access to restricted areas.
• Escort and transport offenders in authorized state vehicles, while armed.
• Conduct formal, informal and emergency counts; perform searches per policy.
