The State of Arkansas Department of Corrections seeks a Corrections Officer (Career-path) at Delta Regional Unit in Dermott. You will supervise inmate conduct, maintain perimeter security, and complete incident reports to support safe facility operations.

Department Personnel are prohibited from the use or possession of a medicinal marijuana card pursuant to this policy and state law.

The Corrections Officer is responsible for maintaining security and overseeing the work and behavior of inmates in a correctional facility. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series. Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management, taking into consideration the employee’s demonstrated skills, competencies, performance, workload responsibilities, and organizational needs.
