Advanced Correctional Healthcare is seeking a licensed practical nurse to deliver high-quality medical care within Sangamon County Jail, Springfield, IL. The LPN will perform clinical duties, monitor patients, administer prescribed medications, and coordinate with practitioners and security staff to ensure timely care.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided (Illinois).
• BLS certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the LPN scope of practice and clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and assist with diagnosed treatment plans.
• Record vital signs, glucose checks, weights and other clinical data.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
• Coordinate with physicians and security staff for on-site care.
• Document care concisely and timely in required forms.
• Provide emergency first aid and respond to health incidents.
• Assist with patient education on policies and discharge planning.
