Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks a dedicated corrections educator to teach literacy, GED, and ESL in a secure facility at Fort Dix, NJ. The role focuses on direct instruction, individualized lesson plans, and assessment-based instruction to support successful reentry.

You will plan and deliver programs using varied techniques, maintain safety, and collaborate with staff to support inmates’ educational progress and reentry readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with supervised student teaching and courses in psychology, development, education methods.
• Combination of education and experience: 4-year degree plus at least 1 year of professional teaching experience.
• Teacher certification or licensure in a U.S. state/territory must be provided for verification.

Responsibilities

• Teach programs such as Literacy, GED, and ESL in a correctional setting.
• Provide direct classroom instruction and develop individualized instructional plans.
• Plan and implement instruction based on assessment data, learning styles, and resources.
