Qualifications

• Three years and six months as a corrections officer, and 18 college credits in sociology, counseling, psychology, social work, corrections, criminal justice, or a related field.
• A bachelor’s degree including 18 college credits in sociology, counseling, psychology, social work, corrections, criminal justice, or a related field.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 18 college credits in the above fields.

Responsibilities

• Inmate Interviews: Speak with inmates to assist with adjustment and provide encouragement
• Case Management: Maintain records, prepare reports, and share information with staff and agencies
• Assessment Review: Analyze evaluations and compile case records to guide recommended programming
• Program Coordination: Support treatment goals by aligning activities, counseling, and educational services
• Re-Entry Support: Assist with parole planning and provide recommendations for reintegration
• Team Collaboration: Work with supervisors, treatment staff, and other professionals to address inmate needs

Education
